For this I am grateful..

  • That today, when I want to do nothing, I have nothing that has to be done 'today'
  • That my man is loving, forgiving (which he needed to be this week) and supportive
  • The LA OA Speakers Bureau podcats. Listening to them is almost as good as going to a meeting. They constantly remind me what my disease looks like, and what I need to do one day at a time to be abstitent. It's lovely to hear so many people with so many years of recovery, when sometimes it feels like there is hardly anyone with long term abstinence in our program

  • Other bloggers who share their experience, strength and hope - and their struggle. I need to feel I am not alone in not working this all perfectly

  • That my program is teaching me to take what I like and leave the rest - and to try to work my own program, not worry about others'
  • Messages from old friends - it's nice to feel remembered when you're so far awy
  • Cooking healthy, absitinent and creative food
  • Trying to draw - it is ok not to be good as something (or so I keep reminding myseld)
